The sessions will be hands-on and problem-based. Students should expect to end the workshop with a clear and tangible plan for completing a fellowship or grant application in the immediate future.

Registration will be on a first serve basis. Graduate students are encouraged to sign-up early since spots will fill up quickly.

Attendees are encouraged to bring laptops with wireless connections.

In addition to the half-day professional workshops, the Office of Graduate and Professional Education can bring fund-raising and proposal-writing sessions directly to you. Facilitated by Vice Provost Debbie Hess Norris, these 90 minute sessions are geared to the needs of each department and program and will inspire graduate students to be their own best fund-raising advocates. Please contact Mary Zielinski (zielm@udel.edu) for more information.

Humanities and Social Science: February 18th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

This grant writing workshop also includes Education and Urban Affairs/Public Policy

Morris Library Room 116A

Science and Engineering: March 11th, 1:00pm to 4:00pm

This grant writing workshop also includes Agriculture and Marine Sciences

Morris Library Room 116A

REMINDERS

University-Wide Committee Representatives

Any GSS active member or any Senator already serving on another committee is welcome to serve on these committees. Thanks to some dedicated members, the website will eventually be chocked full of quality information for new and current graduate students. In order to facilitate announcements more efficiently, we will be using the GSS Blog as a means of communication more regularly. One of the nice features about using a blog (in contrast to Facebook) is that an RSS Feed is available to keep you current on each new post. You can subscribe to this blog via an RSS Feed Reader (Google Reader is simple and free!) and be updated every time a new post happens. We truly appreciate your patience while the website gets up and running. Please add our feed to your reader or check it out in person!

Spring GSS Meetings

The University's calendar made any sense of consistency with meetings dates tough this semester.
